Disclosure: I received a sample of the below mention product–for review purposes–and have not been financially compensated to write the following post. The opinions expressed in the following post are my own personal opinions regarding the product.
While I love soft, fresh smelling laundry, I am not too fond of using fabric softeners which contain harsh–and potentially dangerous–chemicals. Not to mention that some fabric softeners can actually damage the fire-retardant elements of clothing such as children’s pajamas. I often look for alternatives to chemical fabric softeners, but have never found anything that leaves my laundry as soft as I would like.
Over the past month I have been using Woolzies XL Dryer Balls and have been super impressed with the softness of my laundry. Woolzies Dryer Balls are made from New Zealand Wool and are handmade–not mass-machine produced like other products. While Woolzies is made from wool, it is safe to use for individuals who have a wool allergy. This wool product does not shed, so the material will not touch the individual’s skin.
When you toss Woolzies in with your laundry, the dryer balls bounce around between your clothing, separating the clothes. This allows for better hot air flow, which helps dry your clothing faster. I have even noticed less drying time when drying a full load of jeans.
Another great attribute to this product is that the dryer balls are guaranteed to last for 1,000 loads. We are a family of five, and I do at least two loads of laundry a day. That means that 6 XL Woolzies Dryer Balls will last a little over two months in my home. Finding a product that works great and saves money always puts a smile on Frugal Mommy’s Face.
I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an economical way to soften your laundry, while staying away from the harsh chemicals contained in commercial fabric softeners.
You can purchase your own box of Woolzies Dryer Balls at the Woolzies web site for $34.95, with free shipping anywhere in the United States. This product can also be shipped anywhere in the world for a $6.95 shipping fee.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
